'LandDownUnder' will take you back to that incredibly āproudā time in the 80ās when Men At Work, Olivia NJ, Split Enz, AC/DC, INXS, John Farnham, Kylie, Midnight Oil and more were dominating across the globe with hit after hit ā it had never been seen before and it hasnāt been seen since.
What an era, when we also won the Americaās Cup for the first time ever, Evonne Goolagong Cawley & Pat Cash both won Wimbledon, Greg Norman was the Number 1 golfer in the world, our movies like Mad Max, Gallipoli, The Man from Snowy River and the biggest of them all Crocodile Dundee were all huge successes internationally.
That 8-year period in the 80ās coined the the phrase the 'Australian Explosion Phenomenon' was a moment in time when everything Australian just seemed to captivate the globe and 'boy oh boy' what a proud nation we were back then!!
